Admissions

We welcome your application (2009-2010) to Brookview School and look forward to the possibility of your child’s education here. For our tuition structure please click here: Tuition Rates 2009-2010.

Brookview’s admission process (2009-2010) includes:

Open House

The admission process begins with an open house tour of the school. Tours are scheduled by calling 269-925-3544 or via e-mail info@brookviewschool.org. The tour is conducted without children to allow you an opportunity to see all aspects of the school and to discuss your child’s educational needs.

Observation

Classroom observations are part of the admission process and are scheduled by appointment. The Head of School or the Director of Education will be available following an observation to meet with you, talk about your impressions, and answer your questions.

Application

A completed application form is submitted with a $60 non-refundable application fee. Receipt of your application and application fee does not guarantee placement. New applications are reviewed and placements are made as appropriate openings occur.

Application (2009-2010)

Child’s Visit

Upon receipt of an application, your child’s classroom visit will be scheduled. (This does not apply to infants or toddlers). The purpose of the visit is to introduce your child to the classroom and to learn about your child’s interests and responses. A primary age child’s visit is approximately thirty minutes. Elementary children are invited for at least a full morning, and a middle school student may be asked to participate in the program for three consecutive school days.

Admission Decisions

Admission decisions are made by the teaching and administrative staff. These decisions are based on the application forms, the child’s interview, and the needs of the existing class with regard to balance of age and gender. If a placement is offered to your child, a $250 non-refundable enrollment fee is due within two weeks.

Wait List

If a place is not immediately available, your child’s name will be kept in our wait list. If spaces become available, we will admit applicants from the wait list based on grade level and date of registration. Please remain in the wait list as we do experience enrollment changes throughout the school year and the summer.
