The Brookview Board is the guardian of the school’s mission. It is the board’s responsibility to ensure that the mission is relevant and vital to the community it serves and to monitor the success of the school in fulfilling its mission.
Tamara Samuels (President)
Tamara has two children at Brookview. She has a degree in finance and marketing and has worked in the financial markets and the computer industry. She enjoys gardening, traveling with her kids, yoga and reading in her free time. She volunteers in her community on the Chikaming Township Planning Commission and as the Parent/Family Volunteer Coordinator at Brookview.
Marc Thrum (Secretary)
Marc works as director of market insights and competitive intelligence at Whirlpool Corp. He is a Brookview parent of two boys and two girls. Marc is French/German, an engineer and INSEAD MBA by education. On the board he is mostly involved in the marketing committee. Marc enjoys traveling and aeronautical sports when he finds the time.
Julia Gourley is Director of Education at the Krasl Art Center. She is currently serving as board liaison to the very active Slow Snack Movement at Brookview School. Her son has been a Brookview student for two years. She and her family enjoy cultural art experiences, international travel, great food, and new adventures.
