Pitch In - 2014 Annual Fund Campaign

“Why?” You ask.

Innovative, progressive, independent school.

Beloved highly trained teachers.  A roof to keep and a building to heat.  Tuition does not cover all costs of education.

All around, parents are pitching in already, in myriad ways. You are coming up with novel fundraising ideas, pooling your splendid talents to launch or continue entrepreneurial projects to benefit our school and community: a family guidebook, a county-wide children's film festival, a community 5K run, and a live auction.  Many of you have volunteered countless hours helping with our Slow Snack program, pulling weeds from gardens, feeding Monty and Cocoa our new goat and sheep, or Leading Literature Circles for eager young readers in the classroom.

For all of this, we applaud you. We know it is not easy to be a parent, let alone a global citizen.  And we know that together we can build a stronger school than any of us could alone. Since - as parents - you know what you love about Brookview School, you are also our best advocate in the community. Join us in promoting Brookview to build enrollment to capacity. This is the surest way to bring our revenue in line with operating costs and strengthen our school for the future. This year we are facing a budget shortfall of $100,000 (ask to see our budget).

We encourage each family to participate at whatever level their finances allow. Contributions from friends, neighbors businesses and extended family are appreciated.

Between now and school year's end we anticipate raising:

$40,000 from from our PITCH IN Annual Fund Campaign

$60,000 from other fundraising initiatives

$100,000 Total Anticipated Funds
