Dear Brookview Community Members,

Our goal for the 2014 "Pitch IN" Fund Drive is to raise $40,000 with 100% participation from our Brookview families. The donation period will run from November 1, 2014 to January 15, 2015. By making a donation to Brookview School, you are helping ensure that your children and future students continue to experience the benefits of Whole Child Learning and Excellence in Education. Education is one of the most valuable gifts we can provide our children and is central to their future success, health, and happiness.

I already pay tuition. Why should I give more?

Brookview School is a independent, non-profit organization. Unlike public schools, we do not receive funding from the state or federal government. Unlike parochial schools, we are not supported by any church or religious organization.

Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Brookview education. We actively solicit grants and outside donations; however, the success of this annual campaign is critical to the financial health of our school.

Where does the money go?

The education your child is receiving is of the highest quality, in large part because of Brookview's extremely talented, dedicated, and experience faculty. The majority of our operating budget goes to pay the salaries of the people who care for and educate your children. In addition, our beautiful facility needs roof repairs, maintenance of three furnaces, and a new water treatment system. We work very hard to keep our costs down and your donation is needed to help fund these critical items.

I can't give a lot, so why should I bother to donate at all?

No matter what you can afford, your participation makes a difference. When we approach potential funders for grants or large contributions, one of the first questions we are asked is, "What is the level of participation of your own community?" Grantors and donors give to organizations that have the support of their own community members. No matter how small your gift, when you contribute, your participation increases our chances of securing grant money for Brookview School. Let's reach 100%.

We encourage each family to participate at whatever level their finances allow. Contributions from friends, neighbors businesses and extended family are appreciated.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. Brookview School is a 501(c) (3) non-profit school. Your donation is 100% tax deductible. The same is true for businesses, extended family and friends. Also, the date of this year's "Pitch IN" campaign provides the opportunity for you to have a choice of making a tax deductible donation in either 2014 or 2015. If you company participates in matching gift programs, please consider this to maximize your donation!
