Admission Process

We hope you're here because you are excited to apply to our school. We are always eager to welcome prospective families, and we hope you find the application process straightforward and easy.

Schedule a Tour

The admission process begins with a tour of the school. An open house is available every Thursday at 8:30 a.m. with the exception of August 20th-22nd, 2014.  To schedule a tour at a different time, please call 269-925-3544 or e-mail info@brookviewschool.org. The tour is conducted without children to allow you an opportunity to see all aspects of the school and to discuss your child's educational needs

Observation

Parents or legal guardians may schedule an observation to further understand the Montessori classroom, the educational opportunities we provide, and the children’s daily routine. Brookview staff will be available following an observation to meet with you, talk about your impressions, and answer your questions.

Child's Visit

The school will contact you to schedule a time for your child to visit our campus and the classroom. The purpose of the visit is to allow the teacher to meet your child and to introduce your child to the school and classroom.  An initial visit lasts for approximately thirty minutes.  In some cases, additional visits or a transitional phase may be recommended.

Application

A completed application form is submitted with a $60 non-refundable application fee. Receipt of your application and application fee does not guarantee placement. New applications are reviewed and placements are made as appropriate openings occur.

Admission Decisions

Admission decisions for the infant, toddler and primary programs are made by the teaching and administrative staff. Admission decisions for the lower elementary and upper elementary programs are made by the Elementary Program Admissions Committee consisting of the lead lower and upper elementary teachers and the Executive Director. These decisions are based on the application forms, the child's interview, and the needs of the existing class with regard to balance of age and gender. If a placement is offered to your child, a $250 non-refundable enrollment fee is due within two weeks.

Financial Arrangements and Required Health Forms

Once the following steps have been completed, your child will be allowed admittance to Brookview School:

Payment of tuition in full or completion of the online FACTS payment plan agreement and receipt of the following required forms:

·         Health Appraisal

·         Statement of Health/Activity Restriction Form (children ages 5 and over by November 1 of the current school year)

·         Child Information Record

·         Request for Central Registry Clearance

Wait Pool

A limited amount of tuition assistance is available. Please contact the school for further information.
