Summer Programs

Brookview Montessori School offers  Summer Programs for Infants, Toddlers, Primary, and Elementary students. The Infant and Toddler program usually begins on the following Monday directly after the school year ends. The Primary and Elementary program may have a delayed start date no longer than a week. This program is first offered to currently enrolled students. Registration for non-Brookview Primary and Elementary students if offered based on availability. Unlike School Year Programs, our Summer Programs allow for week-by-week registration to accommodate the varying schedules of our families.

For Infants and Toddlers, the Summer Program usually begins on the Monday following the last day of the school year. The program follows the same structure as the academic school year program and is only open to Infant and Toddler Students who are currently registered for the upcoming school year.

Primary Summer Camp (3-6 years old) is a mixture between Montessori Curriculum and Summer Fun. It generally begins10 days after the last day of the school year. There are varying themes which may take the form of extended units of focus (for example, students may study the amazon rainforest, famous artists or dinosaurs) or daily activities (for example, Tasty Tuesdays or Scavenger Hunt Wednesdays). We offer week by week registration for the Primary summer program to accommodate the varying schedules of our families. Please note that all primary age students must be fully potty-trained and independent in the bathroom in order to attend.

Elementary Summer Camp (6-12 years old) also offers different themes throughout the summer. Many of our Brookview teachers participate, focusing on their individual areas of expertise. The morning is spent with the teacher, with focused learning on weekly themes that may include Agri-science, Crafts, Cooking, Geology, and Shakespeare. The afternoon is time for relaxation, outdoor time, and creativity.

See our Summer Camp Enrollment page for this year’s themes. You may pick and choose what works best for your family —week by week registration is allowed in the Primary and Elementary Summer Camps. Partial-week registration is not accepted, and no refunds are available for days not attended. All camps have morning and full day programs. Primary and Elementary camps are open to the public if space is available. Summer Camps will adhere to the latest Health and Safety Protocols advised by the CDC, the State of Michigan, and the Berrien County Health Department.

We understand that children may be participating in multiple summer activities, but we consider summer registration to be a weekly commitment. We ask that you please respect our classroom and accreditation requirements by limiting interruptions of late arrivals (the day starts at 8am) or partial attendance.
